Been a long time

I know it's been a LONG time but I have been unusually busy. This is my last year in school and I am trying to maintain my GPA at a 3.6. It can be hard when I have my other responsibilities.

Lets see....Whats going on with my life.

Besides school, My brother is FINALLY getting married. I am proud of him. Now, if they will set a date and keep it.

I'm still waiting for the OCS list to come out. This is driving me crazy. Then we've been debating if Mike does get selected will we come back to Kentucky. This place is boring as all get out but with the market and etc. I can buy a house and live like Queen. This housing market is so affordable. I can buy a GREAT house for 135,000. Right now, we are leaning more to leaving than staying. We are trying to get to Virginia so we can be close to home and the kids can enjoy family for a little....but who knows. I just pray for the best. We'll have an answer soon.

Kentucky (Tennessee rather) isnt that bad I guess. It's boring and you do have to search for things to do or travel to get to action. But then again, I am a 31 yr old DIVA with 3 young kids I am not looking for a party. I just want ensure that I expose the kids to every opportunitythat is out there. I may not have gotten into the country music thang but outdoors is becoming a new excitment. We are going to go RVing for spring break. LOL!!! Who would have ever thought! We are planning a family cruise. Now that I have all potty trained children, I want to go on a cruise. I'm excited. I have been wanting to go back on another cruise for YEARS. I know the kids will LOVE it. I am still going to wait for few more years for Disney World. I am thinking that I want the girls to be at least 5 to go. I want them to remember something. You should see my face typing this. I am SO excited for all these upcoming events..cuz I know the kids will LOVE it. When we first started having kids, we said that we will take the kids on vacations to different places to expose to them the world. Now that the girls are walking, talking, going to the potty, it's time to get this party started.

I decided to go on back to get my masters as well. I think that I want to teach college level part-time. I cant believe that I am saying that since for years I thought that I was allergic to school. After debating this, I think it will be a GREAT career being a wife of a soldier. Not to mention, I may start tax preparation on the side to get some extra cash. The girl is good at the tax gig thingy. I still have my goal of starting a cooking academy for children but all in due time. I have a lot of dreams, one at a time. I still dabble in event planning but havent really done much lately. The kids is my main focus.

Besides that, the kids have been keeping me insanely busy. The girls are in preschool. I work with their school part-time. Soon, the girls will be taking tap and ballet classes. Not to mention, Matthew has decided that he wants to play guitar. So I have been taking him for lessons. School for all three is going GREAT. I have to say despite all that I have gone through in my short life, God hasnt given up on me. I am truly blessed

Now for me and the hubs. This 28th we have been together for 13 years. WOW, time flies. Married for 9 yrs this coming June. I can't believe it. I hated him at times...boy did I hate him at times but All in All I love that man to death. I cant wait for another 13 yrs. We have really had some good times together and planning for more. One thing that I have learned over the years, You dont have to love the habits of your mate but you have to be able to tolerate them. If you truly are in love, you will get through anything. Never go to bed angry and ALWAYS ALWAYS try to romance and date. I know that kids are important but once in a while you have to get out of the parents mode and explore the husband and wife mode. Dont let the flame dwindle.

Ok, I'm talking too much and the girls are out of school today. I better go. It feels good to blog. I have to make sure that I am more active.

Until next time....D.

My current Book

I am a romance novel junkie....My lastest reading:

Rival's Desire
Sultry singer Vivian Desmond would do anything for her grandmother—anything but work with her childhood enemy, Caesar Morrison. He's all grown up, but the famous pro athlete still enjoys getting under her skin. Now their matchmaking grandmothers think handing over the family business will turn spitfire rivals into lovebirds, but the man makes Vivian's blood boil.
Okay, there was definitely something…hot…under all the years of feuding, and maybe it's time Caesar did something about it. Vivian always made him lose control, and now he knows why. She doesn't care about his fame, fortune or fine looks. She just knows him too well. Now all he wants is to know her—every inch of her—for a lifetime.

My new website

I finally did it. After all my friends and family encouragement, I finally opened up shop to sell my work . I do have a website but it isnt completed ready to release yet. I also have gotten information for a cart in the PX. I am so excited but at the same time nervous. Thanks ya'll!!!

Will update as soon as I finish......

Friends- A long one!!!

The other day, I sat and thought about my friends and our relationships. Most of my good friends know that I am far from needy as friendships goes. I realize that everyone has a life and cant give all their time to me. Vice Versa. I might not call everyday but I will check on you and think about and love you!

But what about those friends that just....well the shitty ones?

I had a friend(she might even read this but hey.) who called me her best friend. I realized after I reminded her that my life will not revolve around her. Contact stopped. Believe me, I wasnt trying to be mean or an asshole but I had a life and she had a life. One could not conform to each others lives if it did fit the needs of your own. This isnt personal but the truth. Does that make me an asshole??

While being the type of person that I am. I am not going to fake. I dont have her number anymore. I said if she doesnt want the effort of friendship....FUCK her. So I just deleted her contact info and just kept on with life. Well I realized that I still get email forwards from her. I said to myself....SELF stop being a dick. Check on the girl and see how her kids are doing. If nothing else, I really do care about her kids. But anyway, I bit the bullet and emailed her. I tried to be as cordial as I could.

Yea, I know I dont NEED her as a friend but when someone calls you a best friend, I am curious to what happened. After that one email (because the content of both emails are worthless and meaningless to even write about) I realized why bother wasting valuable time on worthless people in my life. Dont get me wrong. I dont think anything bad should happen to the chick but why was I trying to open a line of communication to someone that clearly clueless what a friendship REALLY is.

Looking back this wasnt an healthy friendship anyway. I was going through issues of moving to a new place leaving all friends behind and I went through a depression. Even this friendship bought issues to my marriage. I know that I have grown and hopefully her too. I just realize that Good friends are hard to find. Some people come in your life for seasons and others for a lifetime. I try to be a friend of a lifetime but also realize that everyone isnt going to be THAT friend.

Friends are a pretty important part of most people's lives. Research shows that having quality relationships increases your likelihood of being happy - so it's good for your happiness to be a great friend and to have a group of close friends surrounding you too.

A good friend might be someone who's there to provide support when times are tough, or someone you can rely on to celebrate a special moment with you.

You might see them every day, once a year, or less. You might hardly see them at all but instead keep in touch via telephone, email, or online.

Friends might come and go in your life, they might make you laugh and cry, but most importantly of all they love you for who you are. It doesn't matter what a person looks like or what kind of clothes they wear, but it's what's on the inside that counts. It's the actions they take, no matter how big or small, to show you how much of a good friend they are, and being there for you no matter what, even when things are incredibly important!

What is a Good Friend?

This is how a number of young people responded when asked "What makes a good friend?"
•Someone who will support you no matter what.
•Someone you can trust and who won't judge you.
•Someone who won't put you down or deliberately hurt your feelings, but will show kindness and respect.
•Someone who will love you not because they feel they have to because you're their friend, but because they choose to.
•Someone whose company you enjoy and whose loyalty you can depend upon.
•Someone who will be there no matter what your situation is.
•Someone who is trustworthy and not afraid to tell you the truth, no matter how hard it is sometimes.
•Someone who can laugh when you laugh.
•Someone who will stick around when things get rough.
•Someone who makes you smile.
•Someone who can accept you for who you are, and just lend you an ear when you need to whine or complain.
•Someone who will cry when you cry.
•Someone who will give you room to change.

Well anyway, Long ramble short:

You're.......my friend---my companion
through good times and bad
my friend, my buddy
through happy and sad
beside me you stand
beside me you walk
you're there to listen
you're there to talk
with happiness, with smiles
with pain and tears
i know you'll be there
throughout the years

A wonderful weekend.

I had an awesome weekend. I have to say that most of my weekends are great. Being with the hubby and kids just to chill is amazing. Well This weekend was honestly a splendid one. I went to a BBQ on Saturday. Well that was kinda weird. I am not one for drinking in front of my kiddos but I see that everyone doesn't feel the same. I stayed for a bit but I did not want my children around a bunch of fucked up people. Especially since that was their goal....to get shit faced as they called it. Anyway, they were cool peeps. Honestly, they were sweethearts. I really don't judge people for their lifestyles. They were cool people that saw things differently. Point blank! Some would beg to differ.

Then Sunday, I went out with a new girlfriend of mine to celebrate our birthdays. I had a ball. We went and did some girly stuff. When we got back to my house, I realized that the boys were done playing. So, I decided to host an impromptu BBQ. By the end, I finished at the grocery store and got everything set up it was pitch dark. I invited some neighbors and really enjoyed food and conversation....IN THE BACKYARD (there is reasoning behind that comment. Thats another post). Since it was a school night, we had to call it quits. But I do have to say, I had a ball.

Then I realized that its about 10 and I have yet to start my paper that was due. I finally did it. UP ALL NIGHT!!! I did get to have a good conversation with Mike though before I really got into my paper. Honestly, that is one of the reasons that I fell in love with that man. We can sit and talk about any and everything. He is just that easy to talk to. Another reason is just because he is HAWT. LOL. He reads these...I have to suck up. I mean come on.

Other than that, all in all I really did a bunch of nothing and had a ball doing it!!

Going to stop by the gym today and see what classes they offer. Yep, I am still determined to work out and get all this fabulousness in check. I have a lot to live for and weight isnt going to hender it.

Until next time....God bless.
