Olive Oil Soap Review

When I turned 30, my acne resurfaced. It got even worse when I moved to Texas. I hunted and searched for a new facial routine and I just say that I LOVE this soap. I purchased it from Walmart and I believe it costno more than 2 bucks (sorry, I cant remember). You can find it at Sally's  for 3.49.

I do cut the soap in half because it is a large piece of soap. So for 3.50, I get two pieces of soap. Better yet, go to Walmart. This item is now in my regular routine. I have not had a major breakout since I started using it. I think I had one or two bumps but thats about it. I started using this product just about a month now.  When I moved to Texas, I was covered like a teenage with pimples.

It smells very pleasant. It also has soft beads in it to exfoliate. Safe enough to use everyday for sensitive skin. I normally cant exfoliate daily. This soap has been friendly to my skin. If you have any other questions that I didn't answer, please feel free to email me or comment below. I will happily answer as soon as I can. Yes, I'm back and active on my blog so I will be available for you!

I finally did it..My Big Chop!

I finally went and did my BC. I know that I didn't mention my transitioning period but I totally forgot to share. I transitioned for about 5 months before I got sick of it and just cut my hair off. I am still exploring my hair...exploring hair products. I have a tendency to buy hair care products like I buy shoes. Too much!!! Well I will keep you posted in all the products I have tried so far. Some I liked some I didn't. I still have made a consistent regimen but I will be back to talk to you about everything in my next post. I will be back soon....so this is a to be continued.

Love ya!

JustFab Vs. Shoedazzle.Com....Update 11/2011

If you follow my blog (if you dont, please explain why) you know that I love these websites.

Brief review: $40 monthly shoe club. Both sites offer a selection of shoes, jewelry, and handbags.

I do have a preference though of the two sites. I think I prefer shoe dazzle over Justfab. This is just a personal preference because of my own personal style. Justfab really only offer high heels that are 3 inch or higher. They have a few that arent so high but for the pass three months that I have been a member only once did they have shoes to my height preference. I actually wrote them asking about my concerns and they told me that they dont offer much in the terms of what I was looking for. Dont get me wrong. I love heels but with a freshly healed broken ankle 3 inchs and higher isnt cute.

Now with Shoe dazzle, they offered more of a variety in the terms of heel heights. They may offer less shoes to choose from (Justfab sends you 6 shoe choices per month and Shoe Dazzle offers only 4) but the 4 that they do offer all are different. This month they offered me a wedge, a 3 incher, a 2 inchers and a pair of sandals. With Justfab, they offered all higher heeled shoes.

Now if you are the queen of heels JustFab maybe just for you but if you need a variety of heels, Shoe Dazzle may be your perference.

A free plug. They need to make me an affiliate, right??

UPDATE 11/05/2011

A Marketing Rep contacted me from JustFab to try their products again about two weeks ago. At first, I doubted the authentication of the email so I called JustFab to verify the email. Once I was told that this person did represent JustFab, I decided to take them up on their offer to sample a few shoes and jewelry. I would have loved to learn that JustFab offered something for me.

A week later, I was excited to find a huge box which contained 2 boots and one pair heel and two jewel samples. After opening the boxes to review the shoes I was very disappointed because the shoes that they asked me to sample were old and heavily worn. I emailed the rep back with pictures just to let them know what I received and I was greatly disappointed. I was not asking for replacements or anything like. I just wanted the rep to know that I would not recommend them to someone if I was not willing to wear them.

Though thanked them for the opportunity because normally I would have just not posted about this but after research I realized that I am not the only person to receive shoes in such condition. Unfortunately, the reviews that I found were paying consumers unlike myself just receiving a sample of their new designs.

I am not by any means saying that you shouldn't shop at JustFab but I feel that my experience should be given since you are here searching for reviews and my perspective.

If you should have any questions, please ask away.

Thanks!

Tinted Moisturizer: ELF VS. MaryKay

And this time MaryKay won. It really sucks that companies do not cater more to the African American population. If people do investigational research on the situation, they will find that African Americans spend millions in health and beauty industry and it is limited to what they can buy. I am saying that to say this. ELF works just as well as MaryKay but the color is limited. I will not purchase a product that I need to blend to make the color match. I just will not buy the product. So if ELF offers your color buy it. Its only a buck.

ELF...$1
MaryKay...$18

A very light coverage with sunscreen of 20 and 15 SPF....

Body Moisturizers...

As you may know by now I try not to buy moisturizing products that has any tree nuts in it because of my daughters allergies. I then went on a hunt for some sort of skin moisturizer that didnt burn her or had some time of nut. Well what I found was just to go to my grocery store and grab some olive and grapeseed oil. Blend it together and add a little water. WORKS WONDERS for her. I even love the way it leaves my skin. I have a spray bottle that I keep in my shower. Before I dry off, I spray on my mixture. Then dry off the excess. YEAH, it can get a lil slippery so be careful.

So there you have it. I was told to buy the cheapest I can find in those oils. I actually don't skim. My daughter has eczema REALLY bad that I want the best I can get.

Product Revisit...Mango Butter Soap

Last tuesday I posted about buying mango butter soap. Like always I try the product for  a week and then give you a review. Well I guess I will give it 3 out of 4 stars. Its a decent facial soap. It smells great. I dont think that I would buy it again because it just doesnt stand up to my fave. It isnt as moisturizing and its not as much product. I get a monster amount of soap with my black soap. Both cost me me about 2 bucks.  Dont get me wrong nothing is wrong with this product. This products does work. I fell asleep with makeup on the other night. Yep, the horror!!! Woke up with pimples everywhere. I did my normal routine and my pimples were dried out. Now that is a good product. Go out try and tell me what you think!!

If you have a product for me to review, shoot me an email. I will give it a try.
